The mighty Dragon Ball Z returns with KAI in August!

The Legendary Z reborn!

Dragon Ball Z returns with an all new edit of the show for the High Definition era, redone with new scenes debuting in August on DVD and Blu-Ray!

Not only has the series been remastered, but many scenes have been redrawn! Reworking the animated adventures of Saiyan hero Goku and the Z warriors to fit the original vision of creator Akira Toriyama, as seen in the Dragon Ball Z Manga.

The series that defined a generation is back, streamlined and faster paced, with a trimmed episode count that tightens the story, matching its Manga original and making for a more explosive, satisfying action story!

will there ever be a new season of the dragon ball series? has it really finished?

  5. khaled says:

is there ever going to be any more episode of dragon ball series?

  6. DC says:

I’m sure many have begged creator Akira Toriyama, but he hasn’t said yes! It’s not likely to happen. At least now we have Kai to see it as he always intended, and the manga to read it directly as he told it by his own words and images.

  7. daniel ayres says:

will dragonballz ever come back on tv again? and is this the last dvd of dragonballz?

  8. DC says:

There will be a few collections in DBZ Kai before it’s finished, so still some DVDs to go over the next year.

There’s a good chance it will be on TV again but no news as yet!

  9. AK says:

Please tell me when The complete collection will come out

  10. DC says:

In the other topic, it was confirmed for October, with preorder available in August. (You can preorder on the website or in stores)

It will be another limited run, so until it sells out, but based on numbers we expect it to last through to Christmas, but if you’re keen get to the store and preorder!

  15. Yasir says:

Will Dragon Ball Z:Kai be airing on Australian television?

  16. hoi hoi says:

well the dragon ball kai anime in japan is up to episode 68 and its already on the android saga
so it will be shorter than the actual dbz series with no fillers

  17. BraD says:

Does the remastered Kai series still have the funny little storys between the action like son goku and picolo’s drivers license test and stuff? I hope it does.

  18. Scott says:

Sounds really expensive $69 for only 13 eps in a 270+ episode list. Will cost around $1500 to buy the set and that wont include movies, GT or the original DB.

I wont be buying this and I am a major fan.

  19. DC says:

Hey Scott, it’s actually $59.95 DVD and $64.95 Blu-Ray, less if you shop around. I know you’re a major fan, but you seem to have missed the details that KAI is a shorter episode list, about 100 episodes. The updated visuals and recut episodes are designed to keep the story much tighter and closer to the manga.

13 episode collections are cheaper than the old method of having 1 disc with 4 episodes at $29.95 – its a good standard price for new release DVD.

BraD: being that its the “pure” version of Dragon Ball we’re not going to see “filler” episodes that weren’t in the manga.

  20. Danial says:

Will this kai version still have the same original music done by funimation? or will it be the annoying Japanese music?

If not, is there a version that has been digitally re-mastered that contains the orginal music and episodes?

    Thanks

  21. Tyler says:

    Is This On TV?
They Play Old Version On Cartoon Network at 9PM and 6am
And They Have Series 1 and more at Sanity
But i bet Kmart might have it for $20
