Announced in the Weekly Shonen Jump magazine, a new DRAGON BALL Z movie will debut in Japan on March 30th, 2013. Whilst not much details is known as this time, we have found out that the film will be set between chapters 323 and 324 of the Dragon Ball Z manga (originally chapters 517-518 of the Japanese DRAGON BALL MANGA).

What is it all about?
Set in the ten year gap after the defeat of Buu and before the appearance of Uub in the final episode of DBZ, Akira Toriyama has stated that this new movie IS canon and fits into the original time line, very exciting indeed!
Toriyama has been very involved with the script of this new movie which will also be directed by DRAGON BALL Z episode director Masahiro Hosoda with the final script penned by Yusuke Watanabe who also penned the scripts for the live-action 20th CENTURY BOYS TRILOGY, GANTZ, BLOODY MONDAY and FUTURE DIARY.

The original cut of Dragon Ball Z is getting the High Definition treatment! The full length series as originally seen on TV but with an amazing visual upgrade, will be available from January!
Where Dragon Ball Z KAI is the essential Director’s Cut version, this is the high definition upgrade to the original long form series, and a counterpart to the existing DRAGON BALL Z REMASTERED on DVD.
So you have two ways to enjoy DBZ, in the streamlined new KAI series, or in the original TV broadcast version with all the extra storylines, either on DVD as Remastered, or on Blu-Ray with Level 1.1 onwards.
Make sense? Hope so. It took us a few months in the parabolic time chamber to meditate and wrap our heads around it. But we know you guys get it.
